I’m Chuck Bass (And Who Watches the Watchmen?)

A film school Halloween obviously has to have character related costumes. Above, characters from Watchmen.

Below, me as Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl.

I had a lot of fun Goodwill hunting. It reminded me of production designing again. Unfortunately I don’t believe red guy pants exist in Tallahassee. I even had a tough time finding a nice paisley scarf to fake as an ascot.

But all in all I think it looked pretty Basstic.

If you’re curious, here’s the breakdown:

$5 - Burgundy Blazer (Goodwill)

$18 - Pink Shirt (Kohl’s)

$11 - Grey Pants (Target)

$15 - Purple Paisley Tie (Mine, probably from Macy’s)

$3 - Pocket Square (Burlington Coat Factory)

$52 total. I’m sure I’d have to add a zero to dress like the real Chuck Bass.

More photos here for Tina Fey and Sarah Palin.

A World Within a City

Posted June 7th, 2008 at 1:11 am by C47

As I get ready to DP this Sunday by box building (for lights) and color temperature fretting, I decided to stop by one of the other sets that was filming today.

I knew they were shooting in a park near downtown. What I didn’t know was this little park had a lost forest.

As I walked in I would find signs of a film set, but no camera. Deeper and deeper I went, through a muddy trail (that my guide slipped on), down a small stream, over some logs until finally I was at the set.

Everyone seemed to know the trail was treacherous, and were wearing rain boots.

I’m not entirely sure what the movie is about, but I know it’s fantasy. It even managed to find a lost world in a small city park.
