Office Director

by Joey on February 4, 2008

So I directed a movie. Last week had to be the busiest I’ve experienced while at Film School. On Thursday I had breakfast and didn’t eat again until 9:30 pm. And I was never hungry.

The film went off quite well. We got a total of about 60 setups in two days. 20 a day is about average. We also wrapped two hours early on Saturday, which I don’t think has ever happened before. There was still daylight outside.

Now I can do normal human things again, like sleep in, shower, and cut my nails. I’ll also probably get sick, as some sort of Film School plague seems to be going around and I’m sure leisure sickness will strike.

30 set-ups is impressive. In my film-school, the average on the first day was like 5 set-ups. And that was after a 16 hour day…

lol, I guess they’re teaching us something right. It might have helped that we were in a completely fluorescent environment with no additional lights…
